SERVICES / 05 — RESEARCH · DESIGN SYSTEMS
Interfaces validated before a line of code ships.
Research-led interfaces that reduce cognitive load — proven with high-fidelity prototypes before engineering begins.
01 — THE PROBLEM WE'RE HIRED FOR
The most expensive design flaws are the ones discovered after launch — when the beautiful interface turns out to confuse the users it was built for, and fixing it means re-engineering, not restyling. Most of that cost is avoidable: it comes from validating with opinions instead of users.
Our design practice is research-led and prototype-tested. Real users work through high-fidelity prototypes before code is written, so what engineering builds is already known to work. And because our designers sit next to our engineers, everything designed is buildable — tokens, components, and Storybook documentation flow straight into the codebase.
02 — WHAT'S INCLUDED
User research
Interviews, task analysis, and usability sessions with the people who will actually use the product — assumptions surfaced and tested before they calcify into architecture.
Prototyping & testing
High-fidelity Figma prototypes exercised with real user flows, iterated until the confusion is gone — the cheapest possible place to make mistakes.
Design systems
Design tokens and a component library documented in Storybook, kept in lockstep with code — one source of truth from mockup to production.
WCAG AA accessibility
Accessibility engineered in from the first component, not audited in at the end — contrast, keyboard flows, and screen-reader semantics as defaults.
03 — HOW IT RUNS
Design runs embedded inside every Full build, or as a standalone engagement: a research-and-prototype sprint that hands your team a validated, buildable design system. It pairs naturally with a Discovery sprint when the product itself is still being shaped.
04 — THE STACK, AND WHY
Collaborative design with prototypes real enough to user-test.
One palette, type scale, and spacing system shared by design and code.
The component library as living, testable documentation.
05 — IN PRODUCTION
Regulated-product UX, where clarity is a compliance feature:
Fiat, crypto, and card issuance on one ledger — the regulated layers stay pluggable per market.
06 — COMMON QUESTIONS
It begins with a 30-minute technical call. If it’s a fit, we scope a Discovery sprint or move straight into a build — whichever de-risks your situation fastest.
An Agile-Industrial approach — the speed of Agile sprints combined with the documentation and testing rigor required for enterprise-grade deployments.
Discovery sprints are fixed-fee. Builds and embedded pods are scoped and quoted after the technical call, with a clear roadmap and no hidden costs.
